Our next cold front moves through Friday. There isn’t enough moisture in the atmosphere for rain to fall, but it will bring lower temperatures this weekend to Houston. Some clouds early but we should see some sunshine break out into the afternoon.

This week front will help to drop temperatures back into the mid 70s for Saturday. In fact, that is probably the best day of the weekend for any outdoor activities and area college football kickoffs.

Sunday will see a disturbance moving in from west Texas that brings in light to moderate rain across the area. Not a washout but there will be anywhere from an inch to a few inches the further south down the coast you go.

Tracking the tropics:
The remainder of this hurricane season will limp to the finish line, and this disturbance is a good example. The area in the orange color has a 40% chance of becoming our next named storm. It is moving east and will not affect the United States. The next name on the list is Kyle.

This fall feel will stay through the next 10 days. Our average high for this time of year is 76°, and we’re pretty close to this through Saturday, next weekend. And I don’t have a morning temperature above 62°.
